Katie X writes fantasy, young adult, and historical fiction – and sometimes all at once. Currently shopping one of her book-shaped offspring around, she has also had a handful of short stories published in various online magazines.
Her biggest dream is to become the next JK Rowling, only she would have made Harry Potter a cunning girl who makes half the mistakes that silly Harry made, and none of the characters would have died at the end of the series. Katie will, however, settle for the delicious distinction of seeing her book on the shelves at Borders.
Katie resides in the lovely woods and green areas of Michigan, not very far from the blue areas. She lives somewhere in the woods with her three dogs, cat, and many birds.

Oh yes, and I’ve had a book on the shelves at Borders. It was fun! I even did two readings around the San Francisco Bay Area for them in the 1990’s, before family life tackled me and wrestled me to the ground.
